A proposal for a small community house placed on one of the last unbuilt plots in the historic center of Copenhagen. Today the site functions as a narrow parking lot hidden away behind a brick wall. With the project we aimed to give back a small, lush garden and a lively community house to Copenhagen. The inspiration is found in the colors and materials from the neighboring buildings and in the small market stands once placed here. The community house is made as narrow as possible in order to save space for a garden. The construction is made in hempcrete with coloured lime wash and painted timber. In the interior a horizontal fresco works as a backdrop for the many celebrations that could take place here in the future.
